Lux et Umbra
Light & Shadow — The Human Domain
“The body is the temple. The virtues are its pillars. The vices are its shadows. The colors are its light. The metals are its bones.”
Lux et Umbra maps the human domain — the spectrum of visible color, the sacred metals of alchemy, the ascending virtues and descending vices, and the 33 physiological systems that compose the temple of the body.
The Colors chapter is the most chromatically intense in the series — each page IS its color, the void black background overwhelmed by the color's radiant energy. The Metals chapter evokes material textures. The Virtues and Vices chapters mirror each other as complementary forces.
The Physiology chapter reimagines medical illustration through esoteric vision — the Heart as a cosmic engine, the Brain as a galaxy, the Spine as the axis mundi, the Pineal as the crystallized third eye.

Aluminum
Material, textural, alchemical. The central artwork should evoke the metal's physical quality — Mercury's liquid silver, Gold's warm radiance.

Beauty (Grace, Magnetism, Delight)
Ascending in light. Rendered with cosmic grandeur. No moral judgment — the Codex treats virtue and vice as complementary forces.

Adrenals
Anatomical meets mystical. Each organ rendered as sacred architecture — the Heart as a cosmic engine, the Brain as a galaxy, the Spine as the world axis.
